Chidi Asoluka
Chidi Asoluka is a dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience as a high school English teacher and administrator. He currently serves as a Class Dean at the Horace Mann School. He is also the Founder and CEO of NewComm PROJECT, a non-profit organization on a mission to create world-class summer opportunities that empower BIPOC learners to leverage literature and science to become effective agents of change. NewComm’s flagship program, FELLOWS, is a 4-week paid academic internship that uses "literary science" to organize high school students and communities to design and refine justice-based solutions for local challenges. Chidi is committed to exploring new and innovative ways to deliver humanities instruction, as he believes that fostering critical thinking, creativity, and empathy is essential to creating a better world.
Chidi holds a BA from Georgetown University (2005), a MFA from Rutgers University (2009), and a MSEd from University of Pennsylvania (2022).
